Video Software Engineer – streaming, transcoding, video processing (Atlanta GA)
REQUIREMENTS:
LOCATION AND SALARY: Permanent position in Atlanta, GA. Rate DOE but most candidates will be earning $75k to $115k. Candidates should be local or willing to self-relocate.

I am a unique executive and a skilled Management Consultant and TeamBuilding Executive: heavy tech background (MSEE from Georgia Tech) with 15 years of technical experience, the last 10 as a senior technical manager for companies that deployed digital video and interactive TV systems.
- Strong video software / scripting and video processing experience – for media and video processing
- Video encoding and H.264, x264, MPEG2, MPEG4 experience
- Broad MPEG experience, including audio/video multiplexing, ffmpeg, mplayer, etc., transcoders (Elemental, Ateme, Telestream, Digital Rapids), and DRM (Playready, Adobe Access, Widevine, Irdeto)
- Experience with streaming video formats – MP2TS, HLS, HDS, Smooth, Dash, etc.
- Experience with UNIX / Linux systems
- Working knowledge of Internet technologies – XML, web servers, etc.
- Experience with Bash, Java, Groovy, Python, or C/C++
- Transcoding experience preferred: Elemental, Ateme, Telestream, Digital Rapids
- Preferred: video encryption and digital rights management (DRM) with systems such as Widevine, Irdeto, Playready
- Preferred: Experience with Video Quality Control Tools – Manzanita, Baton, Ineoquest
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
