RF Physical Layer (PHY) / RF Engineer (Specialist) for Wireless Lab Program – Denver, CO
Description: We are seeking an experienced RF engineer (Specialist Level) with strong Physical Layer (PHY) technical experience for wireless and wired communications systems and architectures. Join our growing project-based broadband and video technology practice.
Requirements:
Location: Denver, CO. Candidates should be local or willing to move to be in Denver for the project (Monday through Friday).
Compensation: This is a temporary project-based position. Salary depends on experience.

As CTO, Jon has a heavy tech background (MSEE from Georgia Tech) with 15 years of technical experience, the last 8 as a Director and VP of Engineering for a 100-person team developing broadband multimedia services.
Requirements:
- Experience with Physical Layer (PHY) with a strong RF Engineering Focus
- Strong communications theory for wireless and wired communications) and RF performance analysis and measurement experience.
- Experience with modeling tools such as capacity and performance analysis, modulation, multiple access, FEC, system noise and nonlinearity modeling, channel models, MIMO and OFDM/OFDMA Systems.
- Experience with system-level simulation and link-level simulation (Matlab and C/C++)
- Experience with Physical Procedures tools (HARQ, Timing Advance, Power Control and paging)
- Experience with LTE, WiMax, or Wi-Fi standards is a plus
- MS or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering with focus in RF / MIMO or related field
