Product Marketing Manager – Broadcast Information Service (New York City or Los Angeles)
New Opportunity:
Product Marketing Manager for a Broadcast Products and Service technology company that has a well established network and information service and products offered to TV broadcasters, studios, and content providers. Candidates may locate in either Los Angeles or New York City. This role will meeting with customers, proposing new products features and capabilities, interface with Product Management and R&D teams on product development, and support the sales teams on the launch of cutting-edge content tracking technology.
Industry background is required and candidates should understand the television content/broadcast services industry
Candidates should have a solid understanding of the relationships between television content providers, broadcasters, and operators (cable, satellite, telco). Candidates coming from industries involving, content management, content scheduling, or technologies or services being provided to content providers and broadcasters are encouraged to apply.
Function:
Meet with clients and serve as the product expert. Feed new product features and functions into product plans and feature roadmaps. Devise the business model and pricing strategy.
Work together with the Product Manager - gather customer needs, define the service offering, create compelling business models, and work, and develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our product in the market.
Develop sales collateral and support the sales team during the sales process to present to customers and partners. Train and support the US sales force
Ideal Experience:
Experience working with TV content providers (network TV, broadcasters) and/or operators such as IPTV, Cable, Digital Cinema, and PayTV – ideally working with technology or service products targeted at this industry (such as content management, content scheduling, content security, or content licensing / tracking).
Candidates should have product marketing and/or business development experience.
Candidates need to either have a technical background with a move toward marketing and business development – or at least have a demonstrated ability to work comfortably with technology and software or service products.
Candidates should have prior experience working with customers and supporting the sales process.
Knowledge of content tracking technologies including digital watermarking, fingerprinting, and forensic tracking content security etc. is a huge plus but not required. Experience with Salesforce technologies is a plus but not required.
Ideally a technical degree and MBA (or similar experience)
Location: New York City or Los Angeles. Fast and easy relocations will be considered but candidates residing in one of these locations are preferred.
Compensation: 90,000 – 140,000 USD/yr.
