Mechanical Engineering Manager to Design Advanced Antenna Systems
Our Atlanta-based client is seeking an experienced Manager / Project Manager with experienced managing large scale mechanical or aerospace systems development.
The candidate we seek should be an outstanding Project manager - experience delivering fixed-price projects on-time and on-budget. the candidate should also be a very strong people manager -- great with motivating a team, hiring great engineers, and handing both performance reviews and mentoring. The manager should also be strong with developing project and department budgets and controlling to meet both pro9ject and budget requirements. Candidates MUST have had success managing fixed price programs, MUST have worked with large scale mechanical or aerospace systems, and MUST have managed people including performance reviews, etc.
This manager will lead a team of well-established team of engineers designing leading-edge advanced and large-scale antenna positioning mechanical systems (for worldwide communications systems). the team is well established having major accomplishments in the fields of GPS systems, NASA research, earth imaging, and modern communication systems. Prior antenna experience is not required, but experience managing "very big" mechanical systems IS required.
Very strong people and team management skills are essential and as important as the technical experience. A BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is expected. US citizenship is required, as is the ability to obtain U.S. Government clearance (existing clearance is a plus).
