Field Applications Engineer (Multiple Locations)
Our client is seeking someone to serve as a Field Applications Engineer for UHF, Antenna, and SATCOM equipment sold to the US government and foreign governments. You will provide customer and engineering support for IP-centric SATCOM hubs, supporting the production, testing, deployment, documentations, training, operation, and troubleshooting of the SATCOM equipment.

LOCATION AND SALARY: San Diego, CA (preference), also Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC metro area (several locations). NOTE: Relocations support IS available for out-of-area candidates. Compensation is dependent on candidates experience – but candidates in the range of 75k-150k are especially encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years experience with commercial and military based SATCOM systems
- Working knowledge of RF equipment including converters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Linux, UNIX, and Solaris experience.
- Working knowledge of IP equipment, including configuration, application, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, IP networks, servers.
- Defense or military experience is strongly preferred
- Recent, active security clearance, or ability to gain clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- US Citizenship – an active security clearance (or having held one in the last two years is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%).
