Director of Engineering for High Volume Consumer Products (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, injection molding / soft goods, manufacturing, project management) – Los Angeles, CA
Our client (a strong consumer products company with a great brand) has retained us to find an amazing Director of Engineering to manage a small team of talented engineers developing high volume consumer products. We seek a strong teambuilder, able to instill project management discipline, change culture, and institute engineering best practices. The candidate we seek should have prior high volume consumer products / consumer goods experience.
Requirements:
Location / Comp / Other: Candidates should be located in Los Angeles CA, or willing to move to LA quickly at no/low cost. Pay depends on experience, but most qualified candidates will be earning between 130k and 180k. This is a perm role with full benefits in a strong and well established firm.

Requirements:
- Prior Experience Required: Managing an engineering team developing high volume consumer products, packaged goods, or consumer electronics
- Technical: Mechanical engineering or Mechatronics, injection molding / soft goods, electronics a plus, design for high volume manufacturing
- Management: Must be an organized, disciplined, high-energy project manager and team builder. Prior people management is required as well as interfacing with senior executives (strong communications skills)
- Education: Bachelors in engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical (with some mechanical) – or equivalent work experience.
